Landata Technologies Inc. announces e-STAR Plus™,
an enhanced land document e-recording system
HOUSTON (Aug. 10, 2004) - Landata Technologies Inc. has introduced e-STAR Plus (ESP), a
comprehensive Solution for Total Automation of Records for county clerks and recorders.
The ESP package supports document cashiering, imaging, indexing/verification, public access and
printing, as well as capabilities for e-recording, e-commerce, data warehousing and disaster
recovery.
"We thought the name 'ESP' was appropriate because it represents everything a county clerk or
recorder needs as a total records management solution - in addition to reducing overall costs and
providing a self-funding revenue stream," said Alan Cellura, president and chief executive
officer, Landata Technologies.
"e-STAR Plus is built on a rules-based architecture, utilizing the .NET and SQL platform," said
Cellura. "This structure is technically a huge step forward. It allows county clerks and recorders
the flexibility to choose the modules they need to support, control and enhance their workflow. It
also allows us the flexibility to tailor those modules - without extensive programming - to quickly
respond to specific customer requirements."
Current installations of LANDSCAN®, Landata Technologies former land document management
system, can be updated to the new ESP platform. Landata has already installed ESP in numerous
counties in the United States and most recently in Bexar County (San Antonio), Texas.
"One of the most significant benefits of ESP is that it positions a county's documents for data
warehousing and Web-based revenue opportunities," said Cellura. "That is crucial in the current
environment where county governments are being pushed to do more work with fewer resources.
"ESP seamlessly incorporates connectivity with e-recording capabilities from title and
settlement services companies - as well as for Web-based document access with e-commerce
capability," he added. "Backed by Landata Technologies' solid reputation for customer
satisfaction, we can assure that moving to ESP will improve efficiency, lower operating costs,
generate additional revenue and enhance satisfaction for county governments and their taxpaying
customers."
